Ben completed his BSc (Sport and Exercise Science) and MSc (Exercise Physiology) at Loughborough University, 2011-2015. In 2015, Ben began his PhD within the Peter Harrison Centre which was jointly funded by the British Triathlon Federation. Ben began his current role in 2018.
Ben is currently researching the thermoregulatory strain of competition in Paralympic athletes via a project jointly funded by the English Institute of Sport. Additionally, acute and chronic alleviative strategies are being explored to ameliorate athletes’ thermal strain.
Alongside his PhD, Ben was acting at performance physiologist for British Paratriathlon. From 2018, Ben is undertaking this role part-time through the English Institute of Sport.
