Sophie graduated from Loughborough University in 2022 with an MSc in Sports Biomechanics, and provided biomechanical technical support at the University for a period of time after graduating. In 2023, she took up the role of Postgraduate Teaching Assistant in the School, and currently provides laboratory-based teaching support in biomechanics on undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
Sophie is a keen sprinter and has competed nationally for the 4x100m relay, and now assists with sprint coaching at Loughborough Athletic Union.
Sophie is currently undertaking a part time PhD, alongside her PGTA role, focusing on energy dissipation in human soft tissue during running and sprinting.
