Tell us about yourself (hobbies, interests and background):

I love sport. I’m always either playing or watching it in my spare time. I’ve grown up in a sporty family and have lived in an active culture from a young age. I want to work in the sport industry after I finish University.

How did you first get involved in volunteering within sport at Loughborough?

I did sport volunteering at home a lot and when I saw an advert for CVA on social media and thought I’d sign up and just have a browse at what Loughborough Sport offered. I was quite surprised and excited by the variety of roles and opportunities on offer.

During your years at Loughborough what have you got involved in through volunteering within sport?

I’ve gotten the opportunity to experience a variety of new sports through ODEs.

What has your experience volunteering been like whilst at Loughborough?

Criticism from sports secs can be challenging but it's been fun and exciting and I've made new friends.

How has being involved with Loughborough Sport helped you develop and progress (personally and professionally)?

I’ve developed my confidence, time-management skills, and resilience.

What’s the best advice you could give to a Loughborough student looking to get involved in volunteering & gain the most out of their university experiences?

Just go for it and get involved because it’s so much fun, and to make the most of it.

Finally, what do you enjoy most about volunteering?

I just love sport and always want to be in that environment, whether it’s playing, spectating or organising.
