The men’s and women’s teams both take part in BUCS, playing on Wednesday afternoons, and the mixed team play on Sundays.
The men’s section at Loughborough has expanded over recent years to comprise of two BUCS teams and a large beginners programme. The first team is currently competing in BUCS Premier North as well as the BUCS Championships. The second team competes in the Midlands 2A Division, with the beginner’s team competing in several tournaments throughout the year.
The men’s first team trains together up to four times per week on the pitch and in the gym.
The women have three BUCS teams and a beginner’s team, with each team having their own specific training programme planned by coaches, captains and the club committee.
Training times and frequencies depend on which team you are playing for but most of the squad’s inter-mix during training which has proved to be a very inspiring setting for many.
Coaching and volunteering
Within most sports there are a range of sports volunteering roles and opportunities for you to get involved and gain experience in. This ranges from coaching and officiating to events, marketing and media and sport science support.
