How to join

In order to become a member of either our development or performance squad for the Powerlifting and Weightlifting Club you must take part in our trial process.  If you are looking to become a member, come and visit our stall at the freshers Bazaar. Here you can complete one of our sign up forms. Our committee will then review these forms and email you an invite to the appropriate trial session at a later date. Here you will show off your lifts by completing RPE 7 singles or singles at around 90% of your maxes.

During these sessions the committee will be looking at your enthusiasm for the sport, commitment to training, technique and strength.  If you are successful you will recieve an email outlining which squad you have been selected for and the next steps in the process.

Please note, you can apply to and trial for both sports, but if selected you can only join either Powerlifting or Weightlifting, not both!

For more information on how to join our club, come and visit us at the Loughborough University Sports Bazaar on campus on Saturday 30th September 2023.
