Meet The Team

We have seven employed members of staff who run and support our Athletics Programme on a full and part time basis, led by Director of Athletics, Femi Akinsanya.

The athletics staff team work alongside the student club committee to ensure athletes have full access to training, coaching and competition opportunities.

Athletics Performance Programme

As expected, elite athletes are able to thrive in Loughborough's unparalleled sporting environment.

Loughborough Students have always had great success, and in recent years, past and present students have been part of teams that have competed in age group, European and global Championships.

The athletics performance programme supports approximately 100 of our highest achieving club members each year with a host of sport science and therapy services.
