With Sub Aqua at Loughborough you can safely enjoy the most thrilling, rewarding and challenging experiences that scuba diving has to offer. Everyone is welcome, we offer qualifications for all levels of experience from complete beginners to experienced divers.
Athletic Union Club
We are a BSAC affiliate club, training our members to a world-renowned standard with an instructor team of students and past members who are approachable and friendly.
Our membership includes full kit use, so there is no need to own any equipment to dive with us! Throughout the year we offer opportunities to dive both in the UK and abroad. In recent years, we have been to places such as Weymouth, Anglesey, Swanage, Croatia and Malta to explore some of the best diving spots in the world.
We train weekly on a Wednesday evening, offering lectures then pool skills at the University Swimming Pool. Then we also train in open water at Stoney Cove, which is nearby and has a safe environment for students to learn.
We are a relaxed club with no strict training regimes, the only entry requirement is that you must be able to swim.
