Adult swimming lessons

Loughborough University Swimming Pool delivers a high quality swimming programme for adults wishing to learn the basic stroke techniques as well as those wishing to improve their existing stroke and stamina. Lessons are taught in an informal, relaxed and friendly environment. The instructor works individually with each person to achieve their personal swimming goals.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening classes are taught in shallow water (1.2m depth) with Monday/Tuesday classes targeted at complete beginners and Wednesday classes aimed at intermediate level swimmers. Thursday classes are in deeper water (2.0m depth) and are for those swimmers wishing to improve their existing knowledge and technique.

Classes are taught in eight week blocks (one hour per week) and cost £56.00 for the full course. Places are limited to 8 people and early booking is strongly advised.

Thursday 20:00 – 21:00 (2.0m depth) Advanced (please check criteria)
Thursday 21:00 – 22:00 (2.0m depth) Advanced (please check criteria)

Criteria for Thursday classes

1) Be able to swim 100m (4 lengths) in under 3 minutes.
2) Be able to swim approximately 60-80 lengths in an hour.
