Our swimming pool is open to everyone - students, staff and the wider community
Lane swim
The pool is divided into lanes with each lane accommodating different swimming abilities. The pool depth is usually set to 2.0m for this session with three lanes set aside for slow, medium and fast swimming. The pool depth or length will change on occasion, please be sure to check the timetable for details before attending. Please note that swimmers must be competent and safe.

Recreational swim
An open area swimming session for swimmers of all ages and abilities with no lane ropes. The pool depth is set at 1.2m. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Please consult the timetable for available times and days.

Aqua jogging
An opportunity to increase fitness whilst placing less stress on the joints. This is a self-taught session and as a result can prove to be a challenging workout, as well as being a highly recommended form of physiotherapy for those with joint or back problems. This session always runs in one lane alongside a Lane Swim session. Floatation belts are provided and the depth of the pool is set at 2.0m. Sessions are either 25m or 50m long so please check the timetable for details before attending.
