Media, Marketing and Communications Mentor

Loughborough Sport's Coach & Volunteer Academy is looking for an individual who has the skills, experience, and capacity to develop Loughborough students in the area of Sport Media, Marketing & Communications.

There is consistent demand from Loughborough students to pursue careers in this industry. Our job is to give them a great experience whilst at university to kickstart their career. We are looking for someone who has a broad understanding of media, marketing & communications to support, train, advise and mentor a small number of students who oversee the media, marketing & communications for our Development Programmes.

What would be required?

  • Act as the central point of contact for technical media and marketing support
  • Hold regular mentor meetings with volunteers to review work, give advice and support students to progress personally and professionally
  • Provide industry insights into key competencies for success
  • Work alongside fellow mentors to design and deliver an 8-Part CPD programme (Oct 22 – May 23) based on identified training needs
  • Oversee a monitoring system to assess impact of student work
  • Signpost to online learning resources and further opportunities

There will be remuneration for the right individual, to be agreed with the CVA after an expression of interest. The role can be completed virtually, therefore no travel is required.
