Warming Up and Course Practise

Please note the warmup area has moved this year to near the finish line. There will be limited pre-course access due to unsafe behaviour in 2022. We will be putting in partial road closures to allow the crew who are building the course to work in a safe enviroment. Please be aware this year we WILL disqualify riders who ride in a unsafe manner and do not abide by the road closures.

The course will be open for practise only at the following times. You must have completed at least one sighting lap prior to your race.

Pre Event Course Access

On Saturday 27th May there is a major sporting event that will take place on campus. In addition to this the event preparation will be taking place that involves the installation of major infrastructure. To keep you safe we are strongly advising that you do not ride the course on this date as partial road closures maybe in place. If anyone is found to be riding in a manner which we find to contravene the Highway code we will disqualify the competitors from starting the race the following day.

Loughborough University is extremely welcoming and the course is always available for viewing. Please be aware of the speed restrictions around campus. It is not acceptable to ride on the wrong side of the roads when the campus is open and put other road users in danger.
