Alex Bakker-Noguer
Performance Analyst
After changing degrees from Product Design Engineering to Sport and Exercise Science, Alex stepped out his comfort zone and began exploring all the different opportunities through the Coach & Volunteer Academy. After initially getting involved in swimming and athletics coaching, Alex's determination and initiative led him to a variety of Performance Analyst roles with Rugby and the Boxing Centre of Excellence!

PE Teacher - The de Ferrers Academy
Having always been involved in Sport from a young age, Lucy's passion for sport and how it could help push her to be the best she could be continued that alongside her studies at Loughborough. This led to Lucy engaging in a range of opportunities to develop her personal and professional skills, from a Sports Ambassador and SportMAD coach, to Chair of the CVA Committee and Sports Senate member.

Tegan Hargreaves
Coach Coordinator & AU Women's Basketball Club Chair
Tegan has been a major part of the Women's Basketball Programme at Loughborough through her role as the AU Club's Chair, working tirelessly to improve the experience for club memebers and coaches. On top of that Tegan became one of the first Coach Coordinators as part of a new project the CVA launched in partnership with the Athletic Union to understand the needs and support the AU Coaches.

Connor Andrews
Performance Coach & Football Sports Scientist
Connor has clocked up over 1500 hours on the Coach and Volunteering Academy portal for his responsibilities with Loughborough Sport over the last 5 years. This has included working with the Loughborough 2's and 3's Women's football team as a Sport Scientist and performance coach as well as being the head coach of the AU Swimming Squad and assistant coach to the performance squads.

Sophie Jackson
Women's Futsal Coach, IFA Coach, Epilepsy action sports volunteer and events volunteer
Recently surpassing the 1000 hour milestone, Sophie has engaged in a huge variety of roles over the last few years. From volunteering at events such as Lightning Netball fixtures, FA National Futsal Series and Loughborough International Athletics, to coaching dance, Kickboxing and Futsal.

Diving straight into opportunities coaching here at Loughborough, Callum quickly cemented his place within the Football Programme as head coach of Loughborough Students Womens FC 2's. Since then Callum has logged 200 hours supporting the 2s develop alongside the rest of the Women's programme on campus.

Alongside playing for the Women's 2s Maddie wanted to give back to the club through volunteering and has undertaken a role on both the club committee and as a coach, not just helping enhance her own experience but also the experienceof other club members.

Tom Plowman
Tennis Coach and Official
Masters student, Tom Plowman, has been heavily involved in Tennis programme throughout his time as an Undergraduate and Masters at Loughborough. Starting of as a player in his first year, Tom has undertaken roles as a coach leading the My Lifestyle Tennis sessions before undertaking the chair and line officiating pathway and volunteering at a range of tournaments up and down the country.

Strategic Communication Masters student, Benji Simpson, has followed his passion for writing since arriving in Loughborough, interviewing and writing articles on a variety of athletes including British Superbike rider Ryan Vickers.

Nathan Clarke
Volunteer Swimming Coach - Loughborough University Performance Swimming
Geography and Sport Science student, Nathan Clarke, has gone from strength to strength since joining Loughborough Swimming in October 2017. Currently undertaking a placement with the team as a voluntary coach, Nathan spends on average 26 hours poolside a week coaching as well as additional planning, sport analysis and additional coaching roles with partner organisations like SwimSwiftElite.
