Broome turns on the style at World Para Powerlifting World Cup

Loughborough University student Olivia Broome produced a sensational performance at World Para Powerlifting World Cup in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The youngster achieved both a new British Record and Junior World Record as she clinched Junior Gold and Senior Silver medals.

Broome also managed to break her own British benchmark of 100kg set at the Manchester World Cup by lifting 101kg on her first attempt. Broome continued to go up the weights and achieved the World Junior Record of 106.5kg on her final attempt.

Broome’s unbelievable day also saw her move up one position to fifth in the rankings for Tokyo 2020.
