Virtual Open Days 2020
With COVID-19 having far-reaching ramifications and the enforced closure of the University to visitors, we are hosting our June Open Days virtually to ensure you get a brilliant insight into life at Loughborough.
We're delighted to be able to bring you a series of snapshot introductory videos, giving you the opportunity to meet a number of the key practitioners and coaches working in the Men's and Women's Hockey club. Our Performance Squads in particular are fortunate to benefit from the dedicated support of our highly experienced staff in:
- Strength and Conditioning
- Physiotherpay
- Nutrition
- Performance Analysis (Video, Statistical & GPS)
- Performance Lifestyle Support
- Psychology
Our practitioners range from undergraduate and masters placement students to full staff members, and all are engaged to work directly with the hockey squads, building great relationships with colleagues and team members. As an inter-disciplinary staff team, we will meet several times a week to discuss training demands, academic workload and commitments, injury prevention and rehabilitation and matchday preperation. We believe that our approach provides our student-athletes with the very best menu of support, allowing them to excel in both their sporting and academic endeavours.
Our videos will go live in time for our Open Days later in the month, so be sure to check back here soon!
