Loughborough Lightning Netball
Loughborough Lightning is the number one Vitality Netball Superleague side in the East Midlands
Lightning currently compete in the Vitality Netball Superleague and have done since its inception sixteen years ago. In the past three years Lightning have made it to two consecutive Grand Finals, topping the table in 2017 and being crowned British Fast5 All Stars Champions in 2017 and 2019.
The Vitality Netball Superleague is back!
The VNSL returns for the 2021 season with all games to be shown live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports Youtube. Lightning's campaign kick starts on Sunday 14th February.

Sara Bayman: “Whether it’s on court or off court, we have to keep improving”
2021 sees Sara Bayman embarking on her third season as Director of Netball of Loughborough Lightning. The former Vitality Rose steered Lightning to the 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) semi-finals before her second year in charge was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting on her journey, it was another former England international who had Bayman considering the transition into a coaching role.
