Loughborough Lightning offers a wide range of courses and camps for both players and coaches. Each camp and course is designed for a particular age group, ability or discipline allowing the attendees to benefit from exclusive tips, skills and activities from within a top Superleague club. The Athlete Edition
Below are all the opportunities available to players wishing to develop their skills, have fun and learn from Lightning players themselves.
Little Lightning Boltz
Our Little Lightning Boltz Camps aim to introduce the basic skills and principles of netball within a fun environment. Whether you are brand new to netball or have played a little bit with club/school then our camp is the place for you to learn more about the game.
Are you part of the performance pathway? Our Masterclasses are for those athletes who are in County Academies and/or Lightning Hubs and are designed to offer a day of training within a Lightning performance environment. The sessions are skill based with emphasis on skill development to help young athletes improve their understanding of the overall game.
Our Lightning Camps are designed to offer skill and game-based learning within a fun netball environment. If you have played for school and/or club and want to learn more about the game then our camps are for you!
Our positional Flash Sessions are for those athletes who are in County Academies and/or Lightning Hubs and are designed to offer training within a Lightning performance environment specific to the three main areas of positional breakdown. The sessions are skill based with emphasis on skill development to help young athletes improve their understanding of the game in their chosen area of the court.

Coaching Conference with Loughborough Lightning: Our Coaching Conferences are designed to offer teachers and developing coaches who are delivering netball in schools and clubs the opportunity to increase their understanding of the game in key areas of the court and take home new skills/concepts to apply to their own sessions.

14.00pm: Shooting Technique & Shooting Games (with Sara Bayman and Ella Clark)
14.45pm: Q&A with Sara Bayman
Innovative Warms Up (with Olivia Murphy)
This session will focus on how to incorporate pre-hab, get your athletes moving using speed, agility and quickness (SAQ) tasks to prepare them for dynamic netball movement on court.
Getting free (with Victoria Burgess)
In this attacking session Victoria will focus on athletes learning to get free in both 1v1 and 2v1 scenarios and progress to athletes hitting the circle edge and feeding the circle effectively.
Defensive Specific Movement & How to Challenge For Ball (with Samantha May)
This session will cover how to defensively move in the circle utilising a man-on-man position and learning when and how to challenge for ball.
Shooting Technique & Shooting Games (with Sara Bayman and Ella Clark)
Sara will work through how to transition static technical shooting skills into shooting games to support athletes skill acquisition and application.
There will be an opportunity for a Q&A after with Sara Bayman for coaches to ask any questions.
Inner Circle Series
Our Inner Circle workshops are designed to offer performance coaches (Level 2 plus) the opportunity to access further coach education situated around performance coaching strategies and principles.
Our workshops will be themed around the Lightning Superleague team’s preparation during the week for the upcoming opposition. Over the course of the five workshops, coaches will be exposed to a variety of attacking and defensive content and will have the opportunity to see up close how a professional team prepares their athletes effectively.
Each workshop will include a ticket to the pathway and Superleague games scheduled from 3.45pm onwards.
Cost: £30/Workshop or £120 if you sign up for all five workshops

2.30pm-4pm for workshop
