Loughborough Lightning return to Epinal Way this coming Saturday for their Round 13 fixture v. Worcester Warriors Women.

Following a momentous victory away against Harlequins in Round 12, and a rest weekend to recoup and rebuild, Lightning will fancy their chances against 8th placed Warriors.

Head Coach Rhys Edwards had this to say about the upcoming contest:

This week’s fixture against Worcester gives us an opportunity to build on the momentum we had in the Quins game; there was a lot of preparation that went into the block of games with Bristol and Quins.  The chance to have a week off has allowed us to refocus and we go into this game excited and enthused around our style of play.  Saturday poses a different challenge where we are going to have to be clinical with ball in hand and manage the field position like we have in the last couple of weeks.  Worcester have grown and developed well this year under Jo Yapp, and it’s really important that we stay focused on the job in hand and that we’re really clinical.  The result from Quins is really important but it’s only effective if we keep that mentality moving forward.

This week’s game will be live streamed by LSU TV – click here to follow the action.
