Loughborough Sport is pleased to announce that Europe’s leading alkaline ionised water provider, Actiph Water, has become its new official water partner.

The three-year partnership will see Actiph Water support all 20 performance sport programmes as well as using Loughborough University’s Boxing Centre of Excellence as a ‘Living Lab’ for its alkaline ionised water.

Loughborough’s performance sport programmes include some of the world’s best student-athletes, including current students who have just competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Loughborough’s Boxing Centre of Excellence is a unique environment that professionalises all aspects of boxing performance and athlete development, merging technical coaching from Angel Fernandez with world-class performance support services.

Andy Shepherd, Performance Nutrition Lead, Loughborough Sport said:

“We’re delighted to partner with Actiph as Loughborough closely supports our athletes’ training and performance through optimising what they consume on a daily basis.

“The partnership with Actiph offers us a great opportunity to better support our athletes with their ability to access water and manage their hydration pre, during and post competition as well as offer additional support during travel and pre-season.”

Nick Ross, CEO at Actiph said:

“We are thrilled to be partnered with Loughborough Sport and able to work with their outstanding athlete performance centres.
