Gordon started off her T20 England campaign in fantastic form winning player of the match on debut and taking three wickets. Playing a role in the build up to England’s second place finish injury struck the rising star leaving Gordon out for the past six months.
However, in last week’s warm-up matches it looked as if she hadn’t been away! Gordon tore through the Australian batting order taking eight wickets across the fixture. This earnt her place to perform in the purest format of the game.
Starting in the Ashes Test, Gordon looks economical with the ball having bowled 19.4 overs for 53 runs taking one wicket for a healthy econ of 2.69 an over on day one.
