EmpowerHER at Loughborough, held in line with International Women's Day, aims to provide opportunities for female and non-binary students and staff to conquer barriers to physical activity in environments where they can feel comfortable and supported.
We recognise that many girls and women face societal pressures, self-doubt, or perceived barriers when it comes to exercise. We aim to create inclusive and supportive environments where everyone feels valued and respected on their journey to active well-being.
From beginner self-defence classes to coffee and cake catch-ups, let's come together to shift perceptions and empower women to embrace physical activity confidently and enthusiastically!

Women in Sport: Coffee & Cake Catch Up
Tuesday 5 March | Edward Herbert Building Atrium | 2pm-2.30pm
Join Loughborough Sport for a coffee break with other women in sports or those aspiring to join the sports community. This is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, gain inspiration, and forge valuable connections. There will be coffee and cake for everyone to enjoy.

IMS Women's Football Super Series Final
Wednesday 6 March | Loughborough University Stadium | Kick off: 1:30pm and 4:15pm
Head down to the stadium to support our women footballers in the IMS final . The Super Series event will see an all-women line-up, including referees, lineswomen and commentators.
