Lightning Rugby returns to campus for PWR Cup campaign

Loughborough Lightning will kick off their 2025/26 season on home turf next month, with tickets for their opening PWR Cup fixture now on sale now.

After a six-month break following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premiership Women’s Rugby season, Lightning are back in competitive action on Saturday 23 August, taking on Sale Sharks in the Premier Women's Rugby Cup. 

With cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens unavailable due to hosting the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, this is a fantastic opportunity to watch elite Premiership Women’s Rugby on campus at Loughborough University.

Early bird tickets are on sale now

  • £10 for adults (18+)
  • £8 concessions
  • £5 juniors (11–17)
  • £3 children (3–10
  • Children under 3 can attend free of charge

The Early Bird window runs until Tuesday 5 August, after which ticket prices will rise slightly. Tickets will also be available to buy on the day (card payment only).

Lightning ended last season in excellent form, winning five of their final seven matches. While several squad members will be representing their countries at the Rugby World Cup, a dynamic group of young talent will be looking to make their mark in this season’s PWR Cup.

Season Ticket Holders for the 2025/26 campaign can attend this fixture free of charge - provide your name and show ID on arrival. Season Tickets are still available, starting from £65 for adults and £30 for juniors and can be purchased from the Northampton Saints website.
