After a gruelling season, Lightning came out victorious over a strong Leicester City u-18 outfit in the Leicestershire County cup final at Holmes Park.
Loughborough took the lead early on, and doubled that advantage in the second half, before City pulled one back to set up a tense finale.
Lightning however, had too much for Leicester, and ran out worthy winners on the night, capping off the year with a deserved reward for a huge team effort.
