Loughborough Looks to Take Home Advantage at the 65th Loughborough International

The two established International athletes will run in the Para Men’s 100m and Match 200m respectively, with Haydock-Wilson being joined by recent BUCS medallists and International representatives Ben Higgins and Alex Cooper in the 4 x 400m relay squad. 

Other recent BUCS Champions included in the Loughborough team include current UK number 1 Bekah Walton in the women’s javelin, Ben East in the men’s javelin, Natasha Harrison in the women’s 400m, Cameron Fillery in the men’s 110m hurdles, Kelechi Aguocha in the men’s high jump, Molly Palmer in the women’s long jump, Archie Yeo in the men’s triple jump and Jess Spilsbury in the women’s 3000m.

Director of Athletics, Femi Akinsanya, is delighted with the team that will be competing, and looking forward to the weekend ahead. “We have a mixture of newly crowned BUCS Champions in our team alongside some of the best senior athletes in the UK as Loughborough alumni. As well as our own team we’re proud that Loughborough athletes can contribute to all the other competing teams, including four first year students who will be part of the GB&NI U20 team.”
