Sweden international Sophie Hansson claimed double gold in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke respectively, both of which broke meet records.
Hansson’s result in the 100m overtook Lithuanian Olympic champion Ruta Meilutyte’s previous meet record of 1:07.26.
Hansson – who studies International Business at the University – is now ranked 4th in the world this season, representing one of just four swimmers who have achieved a time under the 1:07 threshold thus far.
The 24-year-old also claimed a gutsy silver in the 200m breaststroke.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland’s Olympic Games star Daniel Wiffen won double gold in both the 400m and the 800m Freestyle, and Louise Hansson – Sophie’s sister –claimed double glory by winning the 100m Freestyle and the 100m Fly.
USA international Paige Madden also took double gold for Loughborough with two excellent performances in both the 200m Freestyle and the 400m Freestyle.
Loughborough University capped an excellent weekend by finishing first in both the Mixed Freestyle Relay and the Mixed Medley Relay.
Other highlights of the meet included Lucie Hanquet claiming bronze in the 1500m Freestyle, and Kornelia Fiedkiewicz taking bronze in the 50m Freestyle.
