Women's Football

Football at Loughborough is supported by a great coaching team, we have teams for all abilities and everyone is welcome to join.

Athletic Union Club

We have four squads competing across BUCS, with the first team competing in the Premier North League, the highest University football level.

>Our teams compete in the following leagues yearly:

  • 1st Team – BUCS Premier North, BUCS Championship KO Cup
  • 2nd Team – BUCS League Midlands 2B, BUCS Conference KO Cup
  • 3rd Team – BUCS League Midlands 2A, BUCS Conference KO Cup
  • 4th Team – BUCS League Midlands 3B, BUCS Conference KO Cup

We have one Sunday team competing in the East Midlands Regional League Premier Division, Leicestershire and Rutland County Cup and East Midlands Regional Alliance League Cup.

In addition to football there is the opportunity to participate in Futsal. Within the club there are 2 BUCS Futsal sides, along with a National League Futsal Team, this is run in conjunction with Loughborough Futsal Club.

The club is supported by 20 volunteer members of staff, along with 15 voluntary committee members.

Training schedule:

  • 2 on pitch sessions
  • 1 Classroom/Analysis Session
  • 1 Rehab/Recovery session
  • 1 Small Group support session

Hall sport (IMS)

We encourage you to compete in football for your halls of residence in IMS competitions held throughout the year. You compete in teams against other halls, and these competitions are always great fun.

Social sport

Our social sport programme offers free, competitive sport that allows participants to play sport socially. You can represent your department, society and/or as a group of friends.

My Lifestyle

Football is also available through the My Lifestyle initiative, where you can give the sport a go and have loads of fun at the same time.
