What are Social Leagues?
Social Leagues are perfect for students who want to play sports with friends, meet new people, and enjoy a commitment-free sports experience. The leagues let you choose your level of competition, making it a great way to stay active while taking a break from academic demands.
Join a league with your friends, department, or society and compete in badminton, 3x3 basketball, football, netball, tennis or volleyball.
These leagues offer a competitive but welcoming environment, making them the perfect opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and try a new sport without the commitment of representing your hall or Athletic Union club.
How to get involved
Social League registration opens at the start of Term 1 and Term 2 via the Lboro Sport app. Places are limited, so make sure you sign up early. Leagues are open to departments, societies and groups of friends, with a flat team entry fee per semester
Individual sports, including Tennis and Singles Badminton, cost £10 per semester. Small-team sports, including Doubles Badminton and 3x3 Basketball, cost £20, while large-team sports, including Netball, Football and Volleyball, cost £30.
