Loughborough Lightning is the number 1 Women’s T20 side in the East Midlands and has been competing in the KIA Super League since its inception three years ago. In the past three years Lightning has made it to two finals days.
Lightning play in the top tier competition in the UK with many athletes boasting numerous international caps. 2019 will see Lightning enter into their fourth season of the Women's Kia Super League, after reaching the final last year, they will be looking to go one step further this year and clinch the title!

Lightning finish the Rachael Heyhoe flint trophy on a high as they clinch the win against Central Sparks at Grace road. A score of 136* from Sarah Bryce lead the team to a tournament all time high score of 303 and to a final victory of the 2020 season.
Hartley star of the show as Lightning crumble in Liverpool
After Friday’s win, Lightning had great expectations as they headed to Liverpool to take on Thunder for the second time this season. Thunder’s captain Hartley had other ideas however, thundering her way through the Lightning batting line-up she took 4 wickets and crushed any hope of Lightning win, with her side bowling the side out for 116 in the 39th over.
