This initiative aims to bring together a community of scholars that have a common interest in resilience but are dispersed across Schools. The aim is to introduce the concept of community resilience, begin to operationalise it through a systems approach and lay out a plan for future development of research activities within the group.
The initial programme consists of six discussion sessions, taking place in U006, Brockington Extension at 4pm on the following dates:
- 10 November: Community Resilience Introduction
- 17 November: What does resilience mean to you?
- 24 November: What does community mean to you?
- 1 December: How do you facilitate and evaluate community resilience?
- 8 December: Is resilience always a good thing?
- 15 December: Concluding review and next steps
You do not have to attend all sessions.
Organisers, George Foden and Chukwudi Ogunna, plan to capture the discussions with a view to create a project output at the end of the six sessions.
