Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is free and available to members of staff across the University 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service will complement the University’s existing staff counselling and occupational health services and comes in response to issues highlighted in the 2016 staff survey.

Information is available through an online portal and a telephone helpline. Unlimited support is available on any matter that might be of concern to you – from mental health and wellbeing, through to legal, relationship and money matters. Help is given by accredited counsellors or information specialists, depending on whether the need is for emotional or practical support.

For a 6 month trial period, the service also includes face to face counselling, where appropriate.

The online portal provides a secure and personalised website designed to offer self-help. It includes access to a range of factsheets, surveys, podcasts, a health risk assessment tool, as well as links to other useful websites.

The University has partnered with an external organisation Rehabworks, to introduce the service and it is independent from the University and completely confidential.
