Welcome to the MLSC

The Mathematics Learning Support Centre (MLSC) provides award-winning mathematics and statistics support.

Free mathematics and statistics support is available at our Mathematics Learning Support Centre for all Loughborough students regardless of discipline. Last year our centre was visited by over 5400 students, from 19 departments. Students are welcome to use the centre in the Schofield Building for quiet study, independently or in groups & to make use of the many textbooks, computers, leaflets and workbooks, designed to enhance the learning experience. One-to-one drop-in help is offered by experienced mathematics & statistics lecturers. Remote maths and statistics support is also available by booking a slot via Microsoft Teams in the designated booking schedulers.

What to expect this semester!

The maths learning support centre is located in room 0.20 of the Schofield building. The Centre is open from 10am-5pm (with the exception of Friday 10am-4pm) during term time. Lecturers are available with expertise in mathematics & statistics between 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm.

This semester we embrace a return to in-person 'drop-in' support in the Schofield MLSC & also resume or bookable remote sessions via MS Teams, having proved hugely successful over a very challenging 18 months.

This website demonstrates how you can access the support available. The MLSC boasts expert support for undergraduates & postgraduates in mathematics & statistics and also a dedicated statistics advisory service, exclusively for final year project students, postgraduates and staff.

For remote maths/stats support or stats advisory, click on the designated link when prompted & you will be transferred to the unique booking schedule.

Should you require any guidance on bookings or specific Lecturers' areas of expertise, do not hesitate to email the MLSC at mlsc@lboro.ac.uk or ask at the MLSC reception desk, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome!
