With loads of fun, free activities to choose from every week, there are plenty of opportunities to get active at Loughborough.
Within My Lifestyle you have lots of fun, free activities to choose from every week ranging from football and bootcamp to roller hockey and UV zumba, offering plenty of opportunities to get active at Loughborough. Activities are open to everyone, but are relevant to those that want to just turn up and play or try something new in an environment free from expectation and competition. There are also several ‘parks’ on campus that are dedicated to recreational sport where you can play with your friends at any time for free.
You can represent your hall of residence in over 30 sports, through both leagues and one day events, in the largest student-led hall sport programme in the UK (IMS – Intramural Sport). A diverse range of sports from football to ultimate frisbee and tug of war are included and hall sport is entirely free. IMS is a fantastic way to get involved in sports, especially in your first year at the University.
With a timetable of events across the year these fun, sociable leagues are a great way to meet like-minded people. You can represent a society in a variety of sports for a chance to claim the annual trophy.
For those wanting to play sport with their friends, through their academic department or even on their own, social leagues offer you the opportunity to play regular competitive sport on your terms. Currently, we offer football, netball and basketball leagues. There are no ability requirements and no membership or training commitments. Social leagues are a perfect alternative to hall sport or society sport.
