Rugby League at Loughborough caters for all, from experienced athletes to recreational players. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or new to the sport, our club offers a dynamic and inclusive environment to enjoy and excel in rugby league.
The Loughborough Students’ Rugby League Club welcomes both men and women of all abilities, fostering a supportive community where players can develop their skills and progress from recreational to performance levels. The club provides opportunities for everyone, whether you're aiming to compete at a high level or simply enjoy the game with friends.
The men’s teams compete in BUCS Southern Premier and Midlands Tier 1 leagues, as well as BUCS cups and 9’s competitions, offering a range of competitive pathways. Talented players also have the chance to represent England Universities, showcasing their skills on a national stage. Regular training sessions focus on technical skills, game strategy, and physical conditioning, supported by experienced coaches who help players refine their abilities and grow in confidence. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity and development, the Rugby League Club ensures every member can thrive in a vibrant and supportive community.
Ways you can play
Athletic Union (AU)
Loughborough Students’ Rugby League Club welcomes players of all levels, from recreational to performance. The club fosters a supportive environment, helping players develop their skills and progress through the ranks. The men’s teams compete in BUCS Southern Premier and Midlands Tier 1 leagues, as well as BUCS cups and 9’s competitions, with opportunities to represent England Universities on a national stage.
Training takes place up to four times a week and is focused on skills, strategy, and fitness. The club provides a dynamic and inclusive community where every member can enjoy rugby league and achieve their potential.
