Cricket at Loughborough welcomes everyone, from seasoned athletes to complete beginners, offering the chance to enjoy and develop in this classic sport.

Loughborough Women’s Cricket offers opportunities for players of all abilities, from performance-focused athletes to those looking to enjoy the game recreationally.

Our performance programme provides world-class coaching, training facilities, and support services to help student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Players can compete in BUCS competitions, county and regional cricket, and benefit from structured training, individual development plans, and access to performance support services.

For those seeking a more social or recreational experience, the club offers hall sports, summer softball, and Action Cricket through the Recreational Sport programme, ensuring everyone has the chance to develop skills, stay active, and enjoy the sport.

Performance

Loughborough Women’s Performance Cricket offers student-athletes world-class training, expert coaching, and full performance support.  

Players develop their skills through squad and individual sessions, strength and conditioning, and access to physiotherapy, nutrition, and performance analysis, while competing in county, regional, and BUCS competitions.  

The programme is designed to help athletes reach their full potential both on the field and academically.

Athletic Union (AU)

Loughborough Students’ Women’s Cricket Club offers opportunities for players of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned cricketers.  

The club runs three hardball teams, including two competing in BUCS leagues, and provides access to top-class facilities such as the ECB National Cricket Centre and Brockington nets.  

The club caters to both competitive and recreational players, ensuring everyone can enjoy and develop their cricketing skills.
