Boxing

Loughborough Boxing Club welcomes everyone, from experienced fighters to those simply looking for a fun way to stay fit and active.

Loughborough Boxing Club is more than just training - it’s a community. You’ll train alongside supportive, like-minded students, guided by experienced coaches who are passionate about helping every member reach their potential. It is the perfect place for students of all abilities to challenge themselves, get fit, and have fun.

We train in a fully equipped martial arts centre with padded floors, punch bags, focus pads, kick shields, skipping ropes, and all the protective equipment you need to develop safely.

Our weekly sessions combine boxing technique, skill development, and high-energy fitness, giving you the chance to train like a boxer while reaping the physical, mental, and stress-relief benefits that come with it.

Whether your goal is to compete, improve fitness, or just try something new, Loughborough Boxing Club offers an exciting, inclusive, and motivating environment to get started.

Ways you can get involved

Two male boxers, both wearing black shorts and purple and pink tank tops, spar in a boxing ring. The boxer on the left wears a black head guard and white gloves, while the boxer on the right wears a white head guard and black gloves. Other people are visible in the background, including someone sitting on the ropes of the boxing ring on the far left.

Athletic Union (AU)

Our Athletic Union programme is open to students of all abilities, offering boxing-inspired fitness sessions that deliver the health, fitness, and stress-relief benefits of training like a boxer.

Beginners are always welcome, and the club focuses on teaching the art of boxing in a supportive, challenging, and enjoyable environment.

While there is no requirement to compete, members have the opportunity to take part in regular competitions throughout the year, including the University Box Cup and East Midlands Box Cup. We also compete in BUCS championships on the yearly basis.

The club also hosts its annual Homeshow event, giving members the chance to represent Loughborough in bouts against boxers from across the region.
