Nominations are now open for the 2026 Vice-Chancellor's Awards, which are all about celebrating those who you believe deserve recognition for the outstanding work that they do. Any colleague can nominate until 6pm on Friday 18 September.

We host our annual awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of one another over the last year. These awards are for Loughborough, by Loughborough – any colleague can nominate an individual or team who you believe deserves broader recognition.

You can nominate here.

Nominations are open until Friday 18 September, so don’t miss this great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the great work of your peers!

There are six award categories, covering everything from cutting-edge research and world-leading sporting activity, to the unsung heroes that do critical work behind the scenes. The categories are:

  • Research & Innovation
  • Education & Student Experience
  • EDI
  • Partnerships & International
  • Sport
  • Living The Values

On average it takes less than ten minutes to write a nomination, and the VC Awards website has Top Tips & Guidance to help you.

If you're not sure where to start with the nomination or want advice on what category is the best fit, we’ll be hosting drop-in sessions in the Rutland Building, Room 1.01. You can sign up to attend at any point in the day between 9am-4pm on:

Wednesday 2 September or Tuesday 8 September

Please register using our drop-in clinic form.

If you want a chat online, you can email the VC awards inbox.
