Update on new University strategy and recording from all staff briefing session

The new University strategy ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’ is continuing to evolve and will be presented to University Council at the end of March for formal approval. Engagement with students and staff has been an important part of the development process and just over 1,000 students and staff have attended one of the engagement sessions that the Vice-Chancellor hosted over the last three months.

The feedback we have received from the sessions has been very helpful and has enabled us to refine our thinking as we work towards finalising the Strategy. If you weren’t able to attend one of these sessions a recording is available to view along with the latest version of the strategy presentation. We will continue to receive feedback and welcome any thoughts you would like to share, please let us know by completing this short form

A series of enabling projects will be launched over the next 9-12 months and these will help to facilitate the delivery of strategy through the core plans referred to in the slides. Project Enable is the first of these and was formally launched on Friday, 11 February. Once the core plans have been developed, we will be in a good position to prioritise, agree timelines and sequencing and make decisions about the activities and resources needed to deliver the strategy over the next 8-10 years.
