Introducing Project Enable

The University is currently finalising its new Strategy to 2030 and will soon be launching a new project – Project Enable – to help facilitate its delivery.

To enable the delivery of Loughborough’s new Strategy, it will be critical to increase capacity. However, colleagues currently have high workloads and we do not have the resources to create capacity through strategic investment (eg new roles) alone.

Project Enable will explore how capacity can be created to enable the advancement of our strategic priorities by ensuring that the way we work is effective and in keeping with Loughborough’s values. It will help us to identify what we may be able to stop doing or could do differently.

Key to the project’s success will be collective ownership and responsibility to shape and make change, taking into account the interconnectedness of our systems and processes across the University and recognising that we cannot simply move work between our structures. We will also build on the learning we have acquired through past initiatives.

As such, colleagues from across the University will be able to participate in and help to shape the progress of the project.

The project will formally launch in mid-February, and full details of how colleagues can get involved will be provided at that point. In the meantime, any questions and queries about the project can be directed to Dr Jenna Townend (Strategic Change Programme Manager): j.townend2@lboro.ac.uk.
