Phil Wilkinson-Blake

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Phil Wilkinson-Blake, who passed away on 3 January following a short period of illness.

Phil worked for the University from 1990 until January 2019, latterly as the Director of IT for the School of Business and Economics. Phil was a strong advocate for the LGBT+ community and previously Chair of the Staff LGBT+ Group.

At times like this, some people find it helpful to reach out and talk to others. The University has a number of services available that people may find helpful, these are listed below.

On behalf of staff and students, the University sends its heartfelt condolences to Phil’s family. A book of condolence is available to sign in the Sir Richard Morris Building (Room BE0.24) which is open Monday-Friday, from 9am-4.30pm.
