Sustainability Week: Community Draft Excluder Workshop with the Falcon Centre
Falcon Support Services is a Loughborough-based charity that aims to help the homeless and those in need find independence through housing and community support. They are a key partner to the University, accepting donations from our student move-outs and using these to help rehome people through their services.
The Falcon Centre has secured funding from Leicestershire County Council (LCC) through the Get Ready Community Energy Fund to develop in-house energy efficiency measures in their properties and to increase energy awareness among service users. As part of this initiative, they will be creating draft excluders from scrap fabrics and duvets for each of their service users.
Join this hands-on workshop to make draft excluders from duvets donated by our students. These will be used by Falcon service users to help reduce their energy usage and keep their costs down.
This event is part of Loughborough University's Sustainability Week (10–14 November).
This event supports 10, 11, 12 and 13 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
