We want to hear from you!

Loughborough University is revising its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Core Plan, and we are inviting staff and students to help shape its future direction.

We're looking for people with a range of experiences, perspectives and backgrounds from across the whole University community to take part in a 60-minute focus group. Whether EDI is central to your work or studies, or whether you have never engaged with EDI work your views are valuable and will contribute towards a more equitable institution.

What to expect

Participants will:

  • Have the opportunity to read a draft version of the revised EDI Core Plan before the session
  • Take part in a facilitated 60-minute discussion
  • Have a chance to share honest reflections on the plan's priorities, language and proposed actions
  • Help to identify opportunities, gaps and unintended impacts

The revised plan places equity at its centre, recognising that creating fair opportunities and outcomes requires us to understand and respond to different experiences. Diversity and inclusion remain essential, helping us build a university where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.

Who can take part?

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Academic and professional services staff from all grades and job families
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • People with a range of lived experiences and viewpoints
  • Individuals who may or may not have previously engaged with EDI at Loughborough

We are aiming for diverse representation across our focus groups and may therefore use the information provided in the expression of interest form to create balanced groups.
