Climate and Environment Dialogue: Nutrient Impact on Lake Water Quality at Rutland Water

Text reading 'Climate environment dialogue' with event details and green icons of leaves

In this talk, Savannah explores how treated sewage and other nutrient sources influence lake water quality. Using a real-world case study, it examines how changes in wastewater treatment can affect harmful algal blooms, why pollution stored in lake sediments can continue to impact ecosystems for years, and how researchers can track these processes using geochemical methods to support lake restoration and water management.

There will be 30 minutes after the talk finishes at 1pm for socialising.
