Call for participants: Women's views on future breast monitoring technology

Women aged 50 years and over who are not currently married are invited to take part in a Loughborough University research study exploring trust in future home-based breast health monitoring technologies. The findings will help inform the design of technologies that support women's needs and may contribute to earlier detection of breast cancer.

Researchers at Loughborough University are seeking women aged 50 years and over who are not currently married to take part in a study exploring views on future breast health monitoring technologies.

Early detection of breast cancer can improve treatment outcomes. As new home-based monitoring technologies are being developed, it is important to understand whether women would trust and use them. The findings will help researchers understand how future breast health technologies can be designed to better support women's needs and encourage adoption.

Participation involves a confidential interview lasting approximately 45–60 minutes, conducted either online or in person.

Participants will receive a £10 Amazon voucher as a thank-you for taking part.

Eligibility:

  • Women aged 50 years and over
  • Not currently married
  • Comfortable speaking English
  • Available for an online or in-person (on campus) interview
  • No previous experience with breast health technology required

Your views will help inform the design of future breast health technologies that better meet women's needs and support earlier detection of breast cancer.

This study has been reviewed according to procedures specified by the University Research Ethics (Human Participants) Sub-Committee and has been given a favourable opinion for conduct (LEON ID:24775).
