Open to submissions: Festival of Creative and Digital Methods

All colleagues (Education, Research, Doctoral Researchers, Technical) are invited to explore a range of creative and digital research methods in person at West Park Teaching Hub on Wednesday 21 January 2026 9.30am-1pm presented by colleagues from different subject disciplines and different Schools.

The event aligns with the University's purpose ‘to inspire, empower and enrich’, so bring your adventurous and creative spirits for an interactive Taster session and immersive technologies starter session.

The Festival is part of an extended conference which includes a follow-up Interactive Showcase series (1-hour events) throughout the year.

Agenda outline:

  • 9.30am Registration and light refreshments
  • 10am Festival introduction
  • 10.15am-12.45pm Interactive Taster sessions on Creative and Creative Digital Research Methods and Immersive Technology Starter sessions
  • 12.45-1pm Festival closing

Invitation to run an Interactive Taster session:

  • Each Interactive Taster session should run for 30 minutes. The session should support participants through the steps and/ or practical application of a creative or creative digital approach to research methods.
  • Proposal submission to be received by completing the Microsoft Form by 28 November.
  • Complete the Microsoft Form.
