Participant Recruitment for Running Study
We are seeking male runners (aged 18–50) to take part in a study examining how running shoes degrade over 500km of use and how this affects comfort and performance. Participants will receive a free pair of running shoes and insights into midsole condition and performance metrics. You'll be asked to return the shoes briefly for lab testing every 50 km, and some participants may be asked to run at Loughborough’s Sports Technology Institute for pre/post testing. To qualify, you should be a heel striker, injury-free, 60–80 kg, and roughly 170–180 cm tall. If you’re slightly outside the criteria, please still get in touch.

Morning or evening person? Join our study on exercise, inflammation, & appetite.
Chronotype refers to an individual’s natural preference for sleep and wake times. It also reflects the time of the day a person best performs their daily activities. Compared to morning chronotypes, individuals of evening chronotype are more likely to develop chronic health issues such as chronic inflammation, obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. They also tend to be more prone to infections and less physically active.
