Staff Parking Charges
The revised staff parking charges are now in effect:
- Grades 1–3: 25p per day, capped at 3 chargeable days per week (maximum 75p per week).
- Grades 4–5: No change to current charges.
- Grades 6–7: Increase of 25p per day, capped at 3 chargeable days per week.
- Grade 8 and above: Increase of 35p per day, capped at 3 chargeable days per week.
Grades 1–3 – Vehicle and Payment Details
For colleagues in Grades 1-3, please ensure that you have:
- Registered the vehicle(s) you use on campus;
- Added a valid bank card to your parking account.
The soft launch period is currently underway. Please ensure you check and update our details before the system is fully enforced.

Other Parking Reminders
Please also be aware of the following arrangements:
- Student parking permits are now £40 per month, and student permit holders can park in Car Park 7, Car Park 1 (Multi-Storey) and Holywell;
- Visitor evening and weekend parking is £2 per visit;
- Creative Arts estate parking is for permit-holders only, Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm;
- The Swimming Pool car park remains subject to a maximum stay of 2 hours, including for staff vehicles;
- Parking at Burleigh Court, Elite Athlete Centre and the Link Hotel is for the guests of these facilities only;
- The temporary car parks on the east side of campus are now designated for event parking only and may be used by prior agreement;
- No vehicles should park on the roads around the Charnwood building (except for in accessible parking bays) or within the courtyard beyond 30 minutes allowing for loading or unloading. Signage will be updated to reflect this. Any vehicle found parked for longer than 30 minutes will receive a Parking Charge (PC);
- Colleagues are encouraged to use available capacity across campus, particularly Car Park 1 (Multi-Storey) and Holywell;
- Visitors to campus must with the parking terms and conditions and staff inviting visitors should ensure they are aware of parking regulations.
Event Parking
Visitors for all events should be directed to Car Park 1 (Multi-Storey) and Holywell. There should be no event parking on the East side of campus, unless using the temporary car parks with prior agreement from Parking and Security. Vehicles will receive Parking Charges for using temporary car parks without prior agreement. Visitors can use the free shuttle bus to travel around campus.

Spinney Hill Closure
A reminder that the entry/exit barrier at Spinney Hill Drive is closed from 21 September 2026 for up to 6 weeks due to maintenance works in the area.
