Chukwuma Ogbonnaya, REACH Staff Network Co-Chair, commented: “The REACH Staff Network Conference was a huge success because it achieved its purpose of engagement and learning through the Public Engagement Design model. It provided the network with the opportunity to listen to diverse speakers and facilitators from the University, Loughborough, Leicestershire communities and beyond.
“Looking ahead, the insights gained, the dedication of network members, and the supportive environment fostered by the University position the network to play a key role in advancing the EDI Core Plan within the University's Strategy - especially in promoting racial equity, diversity, and inclusion across all policies, processes, and procedures for staff and students.”
Chief Operating Officer, Richard Taylor and Executive Director of EDI, Veronica Moore, REACH Network Sponsors, added: “The REACH Staff Network Conference continues to be a platform for celebrating the richness of diversity and the strength of inclusion across our University. As sponsors, we are proud to support a space where voices are amplified, stories are shared, and meaningful change is driven forward.
"This year’s conference has once again inspired us with its energy, authenticity, and commitment to Loughborough being a vibrant and inclusive community. It’s a reminder that when we come together with purpose and passion, we can create a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated REACH Staff Network members who worked behind the scenes to plan and deliver such a meaningful experience. Your passion and commitment made this possible. We also thank every attendee who showed up with openness, curiosity, and positive energy.”
