Taking place across four weeks from 5 February-1 March, there’ll be various interactive events held for students both virtually and on-campus which are designed to help you:
- Explore your career options
- Meet potential employers
- Apply for placements and jobs
- Practice your interview techniques
- Start your own business
- Develop your existing skillset
These sessions will be led by our experts in the Careers Network and from employers across a variety of industries. For the latter, expect to hear from the likes of Deloitte, PwC, EY, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, and many other companies who will be offering a range of opportunities, as well as plenty of giveaways, freebies and competitions.
In addition to the workshops mentioned above, the headline event will be the annual Spring Careers Fair, taking place on Tuesday 20 February, 11am-4pm in the Sir David Wallace Sports Hall.
To see the full event line-up and for more information, please visit the Spring Careers Fest website.
Over 80 employers will be promoting graduate, internship, placement, vacation and volunteering opportunities within their organisations at the Spring Careers Fair. There will be a range of top companies to speak to including Royal Air Force, Aldi, Textron Specialized Vehicles, City Year, Nestle, Civil Service Fast Stream, Unlocked and many more.
The Careers Network are also running a ‘Prepare for the Fair’ online session designed to help you make the most of the fair and stand out to potential employers. The session will cover how to prepare before you arrive, how to interact with employers whilst there and the most effective ways to follow up after the event with employers. After the session, there will be an optional Q&A to ask those all-important questions.
