Don’t miss the keynote talk for LGBT+ History Month

The LGBT+ Staff Network will have three fantastic guest speakers at their keynote event on 27 February, 2pm-4pm in SMB017, Stewart Mason.

Jacob Stokoe, Katie Neeves and Lisa Vine will bring their wealth of knowledge, expertise and lived experience to this talk and panel discussion entitled ‘Experiences in Healthcare’.

The programme is as follows:

2pm-3pm: Founder of Transparent Change, Jacob Stokoe, will share his experiences as a trans pregnant man and the hurdles he faced accessing maternity services.

3pm-4pm: Jacob will then be joined by Trans Ambassador Katie Neeves, and LGBT+ Advocate and Consultant Lisa Vine. The discussion aims to facilitate understanding of the lived experience of trans and non-binary people. It will also explore how we, as a community and as an institution, can demonstrate allyship to trans and non-binary colleagues.

Book your place.

This is good learning opportunity and links to Loughborough University’s strategic aim of being more diverse, equitable and inclusive. Attendance may contribute to PDR objectives for EDI.
