Car Parking: Important update

Please be advised that from Monday 29 April, the University’s car parking system will be fully operative in respect to enforcement.

To date, we have been gradually introducing enforcement as colleagues and visitors get used to the changes.

If you have planned visitors coming to campus, please inform them of parking tariff information in advance.

Information about parking enforcement

  • Parking charge notices are issued for any vehicle which is not parked properly (eg outside of a bay, and/or blocking roads and access points).
  • The Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera system will automatically issue parking notices for non-payment.

These changes have been shared with the University community over the last few months to grow awareness. Additional signage has been installed at all entrances to help relay the message to visitors.

If you have not registered for the permit system, to secure lower cost (or in the case of grades 1-3, free) parking, you can do so online.

Changes to the Creative Arts Estate on the east side of Epinal Way

Due to on-going challenges on the Creative Arts estate, parking will be restricted to University Staff and Student Permit Holders (permit holder means pre-registered and approved in the parking system) only from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, all other times and weekends will be consistent with the main campus.

This means no non-permit University students, Loughborough College students or visitors are permitted to park in the Creative Arts Car Park.

Additional Information and contacts

Staff can access any University car park and the details/locations are shown on the Loughborough Campus Map.

The campus bus shuttle service will transport staff across campus free of charge and should be used to support areas where parking is limited. The Kinch Sprint service which serves the town and train station will permit staff and students to travel free of charge to the Creative Arts site over the other side of Epinal Way.

For more information, please visit the dedicated parking webpages or contact parking@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk.
