New recruitment campaign launches to expand our Research and Innovation team

Here at Loughborough, we strive to deliver a nurturing, inclusive and collaborative research and innovation environment that combines high-quality fundamental and applied research that drives real-world impact, underpinned by high standards of research integrity.

It is an integral element of our University Strategy, ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’

A key element of the strategy is a significant growth of our Research and Innovation endeavours and we are recruiting for a large number of roles to strengthen our high-performing teams, along with additional investment in new systems and process improvements.

The Research and Innovation Office plays a leading role in shaping and delivering the University’s research and innovation activities. It aims to provide a high-quality and seamless service to academics and researchers across the research and innovation development pipeline, enabling great ideas to flourish and helping transform them into impact.

In the first phase of recruitment, there are 16 roles available to apply for at varying job grades and across a range of specialisms, including partnerships, research development, governance, finance, administration, and data systems.

The scale of our ambition, commitment to change and opportunity to make a real difference means that now is the time to be part of an exciting and ambitious research and innovation team in the heart of the UK.

Professor Dan Parsons, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation at Loughborough commented: “We’re embarking on the delivery of a new University Strategy and at its heart is a very significant growth in our research and innovation activities. The first stage of this significant investment is to grow the underpinning capacity and capability of our Research and Innovation Office such that we can reach the ambitions of the new strategy.

“The team are the beating heart of how we grow research and innovation across our two campuses, shaping our delivery of high-quality research, impact and knowledge exchange in order to best tackle the global challenges that we face as a society.”

We encourage our University community to share these opportunities internally as well as externally.
